Hello! My name is Ebun.
I am a writer and creative storyteller, born, raised, and currently based in Philadelphia, PA. I recently graduated from New York University, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Media, Culture, and Communications with a minor in Producing.
Since my childhood, I’ve harbored a strong appreciation for creativity and storytelling, collecting magazines like Teen Vogue and writing short stories and spec scripts (before I even knew the proper term for them!) based on my favorite Disney Channel shows. This appreciation has since blossomed into a strong passion for the creative power of digital media, especially film and television. I have previously worked at BBC Studios, Vespertine Films, and Center for Communication, in roles where I uniquely strengthened my skillset and expanded my passion for media while exploring the multifaceted roles that communications, marketing, and publicity play in the media and entertainment industry.
In my creative work, I explore my fascination with the ever-evolving and personal relationships between culture, society, and identity. I aim to tap into and examine the unique experiences, personal relationships, and everyday occurrences that influence how people in marginalized communities—especially Black women—absorb and react to the world around them, and eventually come to understand their individual senses of self.
